Amy Winehouse leaves £2million estate

Amy Winehouse was worth just £2million when she died, it is being reported.

The 27-year-old singer was found dead in her London home in July after a long battle with drugs and alcohol.

But her net worth has now been revealed, raising questions as to what happened to her fortune.

Annual accounts for her two companies were published yesterday.

Cherry Westfield was worth £2,004,963 as of last November and her other company CW Touring only had assets of £8,032.

The Back to Black singer was on the Sunday Times Rich List back in 2008 with a fortune of £10million.

But by 2009 that number had dwindled down to £5million and now down to £2million.

Amy reportedly was very generous with friend and associates and led an excessive lifestyle.

She had made her money through her album sales around the world and fees for performances. But as she battled her addictions opportunities for the late singer were not as forthcoming.

Her parents Mitch, 60, and Janis, 56, were allegedly handed responsibility of Amy's fortune back in 2009 when she flew to St. Lucia to try and get over her addictions.

Toxicology results revealed that the singer had no illegal drugs in her system when she died but it is not yet known if alcohol played a part in her death.

Maybe it was the shock of sudden withdrawal from drugs/alcohol that caused her death?
